What legal Authority does a Security Guard have?
Security guards do not have the same legal authority as police officers, but they do have certain legal rights while performing their duties. They can ask individuals to leave private property, perform citizen’s arrest where legally applicable, and report crimes to police. Guards are also authorised to perform site pacific rules and conditions as agreed upon with the property owner or client.
At G-Tec Security, all guards operate within the limits of the law and are trained to handle situations professionally, respectfully, and in cooperation with local authorities when necessary.
Are you officially licensed and are you sanctioned by any governing authority to operate as a security service provider?
